I think it is the best package to start programming with micro-controllers. I recommend it for even graduate student in field of Mechatronics.

Great assortment of parts, and some good projects to learn from. Not quite as good as the Arduino Starter Kit, solely because that kit also came with a great book to walk you through everything, This kit assumes you just want to put it together, download the code, and watch it work.

This is an awesome kit, complete with everything you'd need to either get started, or advance your arduino experience. I was fairly new to microcontrollers, and any information that I didn't find in the kit, I could easily find online. Highly recommended.
