De Real Time Clock RTC DS1307-module gebruikt de DS1307 om het huidige jaar, de huidige maand, de huidige dag en de huidige tijd bij te houden. De module bevat een kleine CR1225 lithium-knoopcelbatterij die de RTC minimaal 9 jaar (17 jaar typisch) laat draaien zonder een externe 5V-voeding.
