De 32 Kanaals Digitale Uitbreidings Hat voor Raspberry Pi is een 32-kanaals digitaal uitbreidingsbord, ontworpen voor gebruik op de Raspberry Pi. Het bord is gebaseerd op de MCP23017 16-bit I/O-expander van Microchip Technology Inc. Een paar MCP23017-uitbreidingen zijn inbegrepen op het bord, waardoor er tot 32 digitale ingangen of uitgangen op de Raspberry Pi kunnen worden aangesloten. You need lots of IO? come and get it!
After Enabling I2C and downloading a small library, you'll be up to your ears in IO. You'll probably need a header extension it's a tight fit on a PI3b+.

Nice way to add tons of GPIOs to a RPI, lacks interrupts
Used it to simplify encoder wiring. I wish they would provide options to route interrupts to select RPI pins via solder jumpers. Instead the INT signals are routed to the respective IO headers, which defeats the purpose
