In my recent project (micro robot arm) I damaged 5 of these servos with very little effort. The replacement gears are not easy to come by. If you can use the metal gear version of this motor.

Mechanical loose
It works fine, but there's a bit too much mechanical loose in the gears to use it as a precise pan & tilt mechanism. If one or two degrees aren't a problem, go for it!
