The Waveshare RM520N-GL 5G HAT for Raspberry Pi w/ Case, Quad Antennas LTE-A, GNSS, 3GPP 16, 4G/3G (EU) is a versatile module designed to enhance Raspberry Pi capabilities with advanced 5G, 4G, and 3G communication. It integrates the Quectel RM520N-GL 5G module, supporting global bands and GNSS positioning, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The module is compatible with various network standards, including LTE-A, and supports the 3GPP Release 16 specification, ensuring high-speed connectivity and reliable performance.

This HAT features a robust M.2 to 4G/5G interface, allowing seamless integration with Raspberry Pi and other compatible devices such as Jetson Nano. It includes a USB 3.1 port, which is backward compatible with USB 2.0, facilitating high-speed data transfer. The module is equipped with a standard M.2 B KEY slot, supporting a variety of 4G/5G M.2 modules, and offers dual SIM card slots with single standby capability, switchable via AT commands.

The device is housed in a durable metal case, supporting wall and rail mounting for convenient installation in various environments. It includes onboard control pins, a built-in voltage level translator, and a USB-C connector for flexible power supply options.
