The Waveshare RM502Q-AE 5G HAT for Raspberry Pi, Quad Antennas LTE-A, Multi Band, 5G/4G/3G (EU) is a sophisticated module designed to enhance networking capabilities by supporting 5G, 4G, and 3G connections. It is engineered to integrate seamlessly with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Android, thanks to its extensive network protocol support and multi-driver compatibility. The module is equipped with a USB 3.1 port, which is also compatible with USB 2.0, facilitating high-speed 5G communication. Additionally, it features a standard M.2 B KEY slot that accommodates different 5G modules, particularly the RM502Q-AE series.

This HAT is designed for ease of use and versatility, featuring onboard UART, PWR, and RST control pins, a built-in voltage level translator, and a USB-C connector for a standalone power supply. It includes a power supply on/off switch, a reset button, and an LED indicator to simplify monitoring and operation. The dual SIM card slots support single standby mode, switchable via AT command, and the high-efficiency power supply circuit can deliver up to 3A output current.

The module is compatible with Raspberry Pi series and Jetson Nano, offering a stackable design for additional HATs and a high-speed cooling fan for effective heat dissipation.
