Description

  • Learn soldering, electronics, and robotics through one hands-on project
  • Patented sensor technology with 12 fascinating functions and behaviors
  • Follows light sources, lines, objects, or even your hand
  • Analog robot with no microcontroller or programming required
  • Surprisingly intelligent behavior created using only two transistors

The varikabo 10-Pack is ideal for classrooms, workshops, makerspaces, and STEM education. Each kit allows children, teenagers, and adults to build their own autonomous robot while learning soldering, electronics, and robotics through hands-on experience.

After soldering the electronic components, each robot comes to life and reacts intelligently to its surroundings. Thanks to its patented sensor technology, varikabo detects light, shadows, obstacles, floor markings, and nearby objects. Depending on the selected configuration, it can follow lines, seek light sources, circle objects, avoid obstacles, or respond directly to hand movements.

Unlike many modern robot kits, varikabo requires neither programming nor a microcontroller. Its surprisingly intelligent behavior emerges entirely from the interaction of sensors and analog electronics, demonstrating how even simple circuits can create complex autonomous behavior.

Most remarkably, the robot's "brain" consists of only two transistors. Despite this minimalist design, it performs behaviors that are normally associated with far more sophisticated robots.

Students can explore 12 different functions and behaviors by changing sensor configurations and operating modes, making electronics, sensing technology, and robotics easy to understand through experimentation.

Building each robot takes approximately 3–4 hours and teaches practical soldering skills while demonstrating how individual electronic components become a fully functioning autonomous robot. The comprehensive building and experiment manual guides users step by step through assembly, testing, and experiments.

The varikabo robot kit has received the prestigious "spiel gut" quality award, recognizing its outstanding educational value and engaging learning experience.
