The TCS3200 Color Sensor Module senses color light with the aid of an 8 x 8 array of photodiodes. Subsequently, a Current-to-Frequency Converter is used to convert the readings from the photodiodes into a square wave with a frequency directly proportional to the light intensity. Finally, the Arduino Board can be used to read the square wave output and obtain the results for the color.
