The Sherline Manual 8-Inch Tabletop Lathe with Zero Adjustable Handwheels Package B (Inch) (EU) is an advanced version of the standard Model 4000-series lathe, featuring two zero adjustable handwheels on the crosslide and leadscrew. These handwheels allow for precise resetting to zero, facilitating easier dimension adjustments and minimizing calculation errors. This feature is typically found on larger, more expensive machines, making it a unique offering for a lathe of this size.
This tabletop lathe is capable of turning parts up to 3.5 inches in diameter over the bed and 1.88 inches over the carriage without the use of riser blocks. With an optional riser block, it can handle parts up to 6 inches in diameter. The lathe provides 8 inches of space between centers, and its electronic speed control offers a variable speed range from 70 to 2,800 RPM, eliminating the need for belt changes. An additional pulley position is available for increased torque at lower RPMs.
Designed for precision, this mini lathe is suitable for crafting small, intricate parts from materials such as wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel.
