The Sherline 10-Inch Tabletop Mill XY Base with Zero Adjustable Handwheels (Metric) is a precision-engineered component designed for use in milling applications. This base is integral to the 5500-series tabletop mill, providing a robust foundation for various machining tasks. It features a 10-inch mill base and a 13-inch mill table, offering ample space for a range of operations.
The mill base is equipped with 2-inch resettable, zero adjustable handwheels on both the X and Y axes. These handwheels are crafted with laser-engraved aluminum collars, ensuring precise adjustments and ease of use. The inclusion of an oil reservoir on the X/Y axes enhances the smoothness and longevity of the machine's operation, facilitating maintenance and reducing wear.
For those seeking additional protection and durability, optional upgrades are available for the Y-axis leadscrew cover. These include a brass tube cover for the rear of the Y-axis and an accordion way cover for both the front and rear, providing enhanced protection against debris and environmental factors.
Note: Ensure compatibility with the Mill Column Base (P/N 50050) when opting for the brass tube cover upgrade.
