The Arduino Fio is a board designed by Shigeru Kobayashi, based on the original design from LilyPad. The SFE Arduino Fio is a toolkit to sketch your idea physically, and consists of software libraries and hardware. By using this, the user can interface to sensors and/or actuators with various programming languages such as ActionScript 3, Processing, and Ruby. The Arduino Fio is compatible with Funnel. It has connections for a Lithium Polymer battery and includes a charge circuit over USB. An XBee socket is available on the bottom of the board. The FIO has been designed to be wirelessly reprogrammable.

Great Arduino for standalone outdoor project

Ive used this arduino in my backyard as un standalone weather station. Works great with battery and solar power.

Works fine with XBee Pro (62mW)

I've got it working fine with an XBee Pro radio (62mW). This unit plus an XBee plus a cheap LiPo battery makes a great sensor unit in a small package.

Grand Arduino pour un projet extérieur autonome

J'ai utilisé cet arduino dans mon jardin en tant que station météorologique autonome. Fonctionne très bien avec batterie et énergie solaire.

Fonctionne bien avec XBee Pro (62mW)

Je l'ai très bien avec une radio XBee Pro (62mW). Cet appareil, un XBee et une batterie LiPo bon marché constituent une excellente unité de capteur dans un petit boîtier.
