The Seeedstudio Grove Single-Point Infrared Thermometer - MLX90614 DCC w/ 35° FOV is an infrared thermometer module equipped with a single-point, medical-grade infrared temperature sensor, known as MLX90641. This module is capable of detecting the temperature of objects with an impressive accuracy of ±0.2 °C within the body temperature range. When measuring the surface temperature of objects at room temperature, it can achieve an accuracy of ±0.5 °C across a broad range.

The module employs the I2C protocol to gather data from the camera. It boasts a field of view (FOV) of 35°, and a temperature measurement range of -70 °C to 380 °C. The operational temperature of the sensor, or its Ta value, lies between -40° and 85°.

For ease of communication with a microcontroller unit (MCU), this module is equipped with an I2C Grove interface. It also features a refresh rate of 0.5 Hz to 64 Hz, operates at a voltage of 3.3 - 5 V, and has a current of approximately 18 mA.
