The RC050S HD 5-Inch 800x480 Capacitive Touch Monitor for RPi w/ Speaker, Backlight is a high-resolution monitor that boasts an 800x480 display. This device is equipped with a capacitive USB touchscreen that supports up to five points of touch, eliminating the need for a driver installation. The monitor also features built-in high-quality loudspeakers with a volume adjustment function.
One of the key features of this monitor is its backlight control, which allows the user to turn off the backlight to conserve power. This monitor is specifically designed to be compatible with Raspberry Pi, which can be conveniently mounted on the back of the monitor. The device can be easily connected to Raspberry Pi using an HDMI-compatible connector and a USB connector for touch and power.
The monitor comes with two bracket sticks for easy display support. Apart from its compatibility with Raspberry Pi, this monitor can also be used as a general-purpose HD monitor. It supports various operating systems such as Win10/8/7 when used as a computer monitor. When paired with Raspberry Pi, it supports Raspbian, Ubuntu, and WIN10 IoT with single-touch functionality.
For entertainment purposes, this monitor is compatible with TV boxes, Microsoft XBOX, SONY PS4, and Nintendo Switch. However, the touch function is not available in this mode. A small fan is also provided for Raspberry Pi to effectively reduce its temperature during operation.
Please note that the touch function is not available when the monitor is used for entertainment purposes with TV boxes, Microsoft XBOX, SONY PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
