The Pololu Addressable High-Density RGB 144-LED Strip, 5V, 1m (SK9822) is a high-density LED strip that spans a length of one meter and is equipped with 144 RGB LEDs. These LEDs can be individually manipulated via a user-friendly SPI interface, offering complete control over the color of each RGB LED. The strip is characterized by its flexibility and waterproof properties, and it operates on a 5V power supply. It is designed to be connected with additional SK9822 strips to create longer configurations or can be divided between each LED for shorter segments.

Each LED is integrated with a driver that facilitates the control of the color and brightness of each LED. The SK9822 is designed with constant current control, which minimizes the impact of voltage drops caused by resistance in lengthy power connections on the SK9822’s color and brightness, provided the voltage remains above 3.5V.

The SK9822 employs a standard SPI interface for control, which includes separate data and clock signals, and does not have specific timing requirements, simplifying its control. It also incorporates an additional 5-bit brightness control register that enables the dimming of the LED strip while maintaining 24-bit color control.

The strip, with a length of one meter, houses 144 LEDs. It operates on a 5V voltage and each RGB LED consumes approximately 50mA with red, green, and blue at maximum brightness. The strip is flexible and waterproof, boasting an IP65 protection rating, and comes with flexible silicone mounting brackets. It also features power/data connectors on both ends of the strip for effortless chaining.

Please note that the strip's color and brightness may be affected if the voltage drops below 3.5V.
