This switching regulator, also known as a DC-to-DC converter, achieves a typical efficiency ranging from 80% to 95%, depending on the input voltage, output voltage, and load conditions. The regulator features integrated protections, including reverse-voltage protection, over-current protection, thermal shutdown, and an under-voltage lockout that activates when the input voltage falls below 2.5 V.
