It operates with input voltages starting from 2.9V and can handle input currents up to 5A. This regulator is part of a family of switching regulators, also known as switched-mode power supplies or DC-to-DC converters, which are renowned for their high efficiency, typically ranging from 80% to 95%.
This device features integrated protections, including reverse-voltage protection, over-current protection, thermal shutdown, and an under-voltage lockout that activates when the input voltage falls below 2.5V.
