The Motoron M2T550 I2C Dual DC Motor Controller is designed to facilitate the control of two DC motors via an I²C interface. This device is particularly suitable for applications requiring the independent operation of two bidirectional brushed DC motors. It is capable of handling a wide range of motor supply voltages and offers a substantial continuous output current for each motor. The controller is equipped with reverse-voltage protection to safeguard the motor power supply.

The Motoron M2T550 features a logic voltage range that accommodates various systems and an I²C control interface that supports high-speed communication. It includes optional cyclic redundancy checking for enhanced data integrity and allows for the configuration of various motion parameters to suit different operational requirements. The controller also provides a selection of PWM frequencies to optimize motor performance.

Additional functionalities include a command timeout feature that ensures safety by stopping the motors if commands are not received, an automatic error response, and the ability to measure motor power supply voltage. For ease of monitoring, the controller is fitted with two status LEDs and motor direction indicator LEDs. An error output is also available to facilitate the prompt detection of error conditions.

To assist with integration, the Motoron M2T550 is compatible with both Arduino and Python programming environments, supported by dedicated libraries for each. The comprehensive users guide provides valuable information for users to fully utilize the controllers capabilities. The compact dimensions of the controller make it an excellent choice for space-constrained applications.
