Delivers continuous output currents of up to 14A per motor
Includes a range of header pin and terminal block options
The Motoron M2S24v14 Dual High-Power Motor Controller Shield Kit for Arduino w/ Connectors is engineered to facilitate the effortless control of two high-power DC motors via an Arduino or a board compatible with Arduino through an I²C interface. It is compatible with motor supply voltages ranging from 6.5 V to 40 V and can deliver continuous output currents of up to 14 A for each motor. This particular model is accompanied by a range of header pin and terminal block options, which are included but not pre-soldered.
The Motoron M2S series of dual high-power motor controller shields are designed for the independent control of two bidirectional, brushed DC motors with an Arduino or a board compatible with Arduino. Setting it apart from most motor drivers and motor driver shields, the Motoron does not necessitate any PWM outputs or timers on the Arduino. Instead, the Arduino communicates with the Motoron via I²C, requiring only two I/O lines.
The M2S24v14 shield is compatible with motor supply voltages from 6.5 V to 40 V and can deliver continuous output currents of up to 14 A per motor. The M2S24v14 is distinguishable from other M2S shields by its smaller discrete MOSFETs and the number 100 on top of the tall silver electrolytic capacitors.
This model is a kit that includes the following connectors, which are not pre-soldered: two 1x8 stackable female headers, one 1x6 stackable female headers, three 2-pin 5mm screw terminal blocks, and two 1x20 male headers. The terminal blocks on the Motoron M2S high-power motor drivers are taller than the headers, hence they should only be installed on the top Motoron in the stack.
Please note that the absolute maximum motor supply voltage is not intended for use with 36 V batteries.
