Description
Motoron M2S18v18 Dual High-Power Motor Controller Shield for Arduino (No Connectors)
Controls two high-power DC motors independently
Compatible with motor supply voltages from 6.5 to 30 V
Delivers continuous output currents of up to 18 A per motor
Communicates with Arduino via I²C, requiring only two I/O lines
The Motoron M2S18v18 Dual High-Power Motor Controller Shield for Arduino (No Connectors) is engineered to facilitate the control of two high-power DC motors from an Arduino or a board compatible with Arduino through an I²C interface. It is compatible with motor supply voltages ranging from 6.5 V to 30 V and can deliver continuous output currents of up to 18 A for each motor. This version is solely the motor controller, devoid of any header pins or terminal blocks.
The Motoron M2S series of dual high-power motor controller shields are designed to independently control two bidirectional, brushed DC motors with an Arduino or a board compatible with Arduino, such as the A-Star 32U4 Prime. In contrast to most motor drivers and motor driver shields, the Motoron does not necessitate any PWM outputs or timers on your Arduino. Instead, the Arduino communicates with the Motoron via I²C, thus only requiring two I/O lines.
The M2S18v18 shield is compatible with motor supply voltages from 6.5 V to 30 V and can deliver continuous output currents of up to 18 A per motor. The M2S18v18 can be differentiated from other M2S shields by its smaller discrete MOSFETs and the number 150 on the tall silver electrolytic capacitors.
This version is simply the assembled PCB module, and doesn't include any connectors.
Please note that the M2S18v18 shield supports motor supply voltages up to 30 V as an absolute maximum, and it is not intended for use with 24 V batteries.
