The Motoron M2H24v14 Dual High-Power Motor Controller Kit for RPi w/ Connectors is a sophisticated device designed to manage DC motors via a Raspberry Pi (Model B+ or newer) through an I²C interface. It is capable of supporting motor supply voltages ranging from 6.5 to 40 V and delivering continuous output currents of up to 14 A per motor. This particular model includes aluminum standoffs, header pins, and terminal block options, which are provided but not pre-soldered.

The M2H controllers are ingeniously designed to stack atop a Raspberry Pi, akin to a HAT (Hardware Attached on Top). This unique design allows for multiple controllers to be stacked, enabling independent control of numerous motors. Communication between the Raspberry Pi and the Motoron is facilitated through I²C, requiring only two GPIO pins, irrespective of the number of Motorons connected.

The M2H24v14 controller is capable of supporting motor supply voltages from 6.5 V to 40 V, with an absolute maximum limit not intended for use with 36 V batteries. It can deliver continuous output currents of up to 14 A per motor. The M2H24v14 is distinguishable from other M2H controllers by its smaller discrete MOSFETs and the number 100 on top of the tall silver electrolytic capacitors.

This model is a kit that includes but does not pre-solder, the following connectors: Three 2-pin 5mm screw terminal blocks and one 1x25 breakaway male header. This header can be cut or broken into smaller header strips for installation as desired. The kit also includes a set of four M2.5 standoffs (11 mm length), screws, and nuts that can be used to secure the board at the appropriate height.

Please note that the absolute maximum voltage is not intended for use with 36 V batteries.
