The M5Stack Glass 2 Unit w/1.51-inch Transparent OLED Display is a transparent OLED display unit with a 1.51-inch screen. It utilizes the SSD1309 driver solution and supports the I2C communication interface with a default address of 0x3C. The unit includes a built-in solder pad that facilitates the alteration of the communication address to 0x3D, making it a versatile choice for a variety of home products and control devices.
This unit is designed to serve multiple purposes such as information display, status indicators, or user interfaces. It can be seamlessly integrated into various home products or control devices to facilitate user interaction. The Glass2 Unit boasts a glass area of 42 x 27.16 mm, a display area of 35.5 x 18 mm, and a resolution of 128 x 64 pixels.
One of the key features of this unit is its 256-level brightness control, which ensures that the display content is visible, detailed, and sharp. The superior brightness and contrast guarantee clear and readable display effects in diverse lighting conditions.
The Glass2 Unit is designed to be compatible with the M5Stack's development platform and its extensive product ecosystem. This compatibility allows for the development of a wide range of applications and functions. From developing small games and creating personalized information display interfaces to connecting with other M5Stack devices, the Glass2 Unit offers robust support and limitless possibilities.
Unlike the Glass Unit, the Glass2 Unit does not include an STM32 MCU. However, it allows for the control of two Glass2 Units simultaneously by changing the I2C address through the onboard solder pad. For projects that require the simultaneous control of multiple Glass Units, they can be connected using the PaHUB2 Unit.
The Glass2 Unit also enhances refresh efficiency by eliminating the intermediate processing step of the STM32 MCU. This improvement enables faster content updates or responses to input signals, as well as smoother and more fluid image or animation displays.
Please note that the Glass2 Unit can only control two units simultaneously. If there is a need to control multiple units at the same time, it is recommended to connect them using the PaHUB2 Unit.
