The Hokuyo URM-40LC-EW Scanning Laser Rangefinder (EU) is a sensor that scans a semicircular field using a laser beam (λ= 905 nm), then calculates coordinates by measuring the distance to an object and its corresponding step angle (LX mode) and detects obstacles within the setting area (LA mode).
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor. With a 40m range, it can be used for navigation, obstacle detection, or both. Coupled with the high accuracy level and fast scan speed this offers a great option for many applications as Container Profiling, AGV (outdoor) Collision Avoidance, and AGV (outdoor) Navigation.
