The EdgeBox RPi 200 - Industrial Edge Controller 2GB RAM, 8GB Emmc, WiFi is a Raspberry Pi-based industrial edge computing controller tailored for smart automation and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. This device is characterized by its high scalability and robustness, featuring a comprehensive set of input/output resources. It is compatible with an extensive Raspberry Pi industrial software ecosystem.
The EdgeBox RPi 200 serves multiple roles, including that of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Process Automation Controller (PAC), IIoT Gateway, OPC UA Server, and Industrial PC. It is driven by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4), ensuring a powerful and flexible processing capability. The unit is equipped with a variety of industrial interfaces and supports a broad spectrum of industrial bus protocols and standards.
Communication is a strong suit of the EdgeBox RPi 200, offering wireless connectivity options along with an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, and is capable of integrating with multiple cloud services. The hardware is industrially graded, featuring integrated thermal management and a full Aluminum heatsink enclosure, which allows for both 35 mm DIN and wall mounting options.
The controller is adept at handling real-time operations and multi-process control, making it highly suitable for diverse industrial applications. It boasts a durable design that can withstand the constraints of limited spaces and harsh environments, including vehicular use.
Please note that the EdgeBox RPi 200 requires an additional carrier board for operating system installation and offers customization options such as an encryption chip and an uninterrupted power supply. The device operates within a specified temperature range and holds various industry certifications.
