The Dragino WSC1-L LoRaWAN Weather Station Main Process Unit (EU868) serves as the central processing unit in the Dragino Weather Station solution. This outdoor LoRaWAN RS485 end node is designed to operate efficiently with an external 12v solar power source, complemented by a built-in lithium-ion backup battery. It is engineered to read data from various sensors and transmit this information to an IoT server using the LoRaWAN wireless protocol. The unit is fully compatible with the LoRaWAN Class C protocol, ensuring seamless integration with standard LoRaWAN gateways.
Each unit is pre-configured with a unique set of keys for LoRaWAN registration, facilitating automatic connection to a local LoRaWAN server upon activation. The device supports remote configuration of parameters via LoRaWAN Downlink and allows firmware upgrades through a designated program port. Its robust design includes an IP65 rating, making it suitable for outdoor applications, and it supports both default and third-party RS485 sensors.
The WSC1-L is versatile in its applications, functioning effectively as a weather station or an RS485 to LoRaWAN converter. It is adaptable to various frequency bands, including EU868, and can be wall-mounted for convenience. Note: Ensure proper installation to maintain the IP65 rating and prevent water ingress.
