The Dragino S31B-LB LoRaWAN Outdoor Temp. & Humidity Sensor (8500mAh Li/SOCl2 / EU868) is engineered for precise environmental monitoring, specifically designed for Internet of Things applications. It accurately measures temperature and relative humidity, transmitting data to an IoT server via the LoRaWAN wireless protocol. The sensor incorporates the SHT31, known for its calibration, linearization, and temperature compensation, ensuring reliability and stability over extended periods. Encased in a waterproof, anti-condensation housing, it is suitable for long-term outdoor use.
LoRa wireless technology facilitates data transmission over extensive distances at low data rates, providing robust communication with high interference immunity while conserving power. The sensor includes features for temperature and humidity alarms, enabling instant notifications, and a datalog function to store data during network outages, with automatic uplink upon network recovery. Configuration is simplified through BLE and wireless OTA updates.
Powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery, with an option for solar power via a Li-ion battery, the device is designed for longevity, potentially lasting up to five years. Each unit is pre-configured with unique keys for seamless LoRaWAN server registration upon activation. The sensor's ultra-low power consumption, external 3-meter SHT31 probe, and IP66 waterproof enclosure make it ideal for applications such as wireless alarm systems, home automation, industrial monitoring, and long-range irrigation systems.
