The Dragino LWL04 LoRaWAN Water Leak Sensor (EU868) is an advanced device designed to detect water leaks efficiently. It operates by identifying water presence between its three adjustable metal posts, triggering a short circuit alarm that is communicated to an IoT server via the LoRaWAN network. This sensor is designed for ease of use, requiring no installation beyond placement on the ground. Activation is facilitated by a magnet, with an indicator light confirming activation.
The sensor's main unit is equipped with a sealing ring, ensuring an IP65 waterproof rating, making it suitable for various environments. It is powered by a CR123A non-rechargeable battery, offering a substantial lifespan of 2 to 10 years, depending on usage. The battery is easily replaceable, ensuring long-term functionality. The device is capable of sending periodic data and specific alerts for each water leak event, while also maintaining a count of leak occurrences and durations.
Each unit comes pre-loaded with unique keys for seamless LoRaWAN registration and connectivity. The sensor supports wireless over-the-air firmware updates and allows configuration changes via downlink, enhancing its adaptability for smart factory, smart building, and home automation applications.
