The Dragino LMS01-LS Leaf Moisture Sensor (3000mAh Li-Ion & Solar Panel / EU868) is an advanced IoT device tailored for agricultural applications. The sensor employs the Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) method to detect moisture and temperature by assessing the dielectric constant changes due to liquid presence on the leaf surface. Its probe is meticulously designed in a leaf shape, featuring a density of 15 leaf vein lines per centimeter, ensuring precise detection of even small moisture droplets.
This sensor utilizes LoRa wireless technology, which facilitates ultra-long-range communication with robust interference resistance and minimal power consumption. It is equipped with Bluetooth v5.1 for configuration and supports wireless Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, enhancing user convenience.
