Offers optional LTE connectivity with external antenna
The Dragino LG308N LoRaWAN Gateway (EU868) is an advanced open-source LoRaWAN Pico Gateway designed to bridge LoRa wireless networks to IP networks through various connectivity options such as WiFi, Ethernet, and cellular networks including 3G and 4G. This gateway facilitates the transmission of data over long distances at low data rates, leveraging the LoRa wireless technology. It is equipped with a Semtech packet forwarder and is fully compliant with the LoRaWAN protocol, ensuring seamless integration into existing IoT infrastructures.
The device features a SX1302 LoRa concentrator, which supports 10 programmable parallel demodulation paths, enhancing its capability to handle multiple data streams simultaneously. It comes pre-configured with standard LoRaWAN frequency bands suitable for various countries, while also allowing users to customize frequency bands for specific LoRa network requirements. Notably, the LG308N can communicate directly with ABP LoRaWAN end nodes without the necessity of a LoRaWAN server, offering flexibility for system integrators to incorporate it into their IoT services without additional server setups.
The gateway is managed through a user-friendly Web GUI or SSH via LAN or WiFi, providing ease of access and control. It is suitable for a wide range of applications including smart buildings, home automation, logistics, supply chain management, smart metering, agriculture, cities, and factories. The device's robust design and versatile connectivity options make it an ideal choice for enhancing IoT network capabilities across various sectors.
