The Dragino LDS40-LS LoRaWAN LiDAR ToF Distance Sensor (3000mAh Li-Ion & Solar Panel / EU868) is an advanced device engineered for Internet of Things applications, utilizing laser induction technology to measure distances ranging from 0 to 40 meters. This sensor is adept at various applications including horizontal distance measurement, parking management, object proximity and presence detection, intelligent trash can management, robot obstacle avoidance, automatic control, and sewer monitoring. It operates by detecting the distance between itself and an object, then wirelessly transmitting this data to a LoRaWAN IoT Server.
The device employs LoRa wireless technology, which facilitates ultra-long range communication with high interference immunity while maintaining low power consumption. This makes it particularly suitable for environments where long-range data transmission is essential. The LDS40-LS is equipped with Bluetooth configuration capabilities and supports wireless over-the-air updates, enhancing its user-friendliness and adaptability.
