The Digilent Genesys ZU-5EV Development Kit is a sophisticated Zynq UltraScale+ EG/EV MPSoC development board, designed to offer a robust platform for multimedia and network connectivity applications. This development kit is distinguished by its advanced MPSoC chip, which provides enhanced features such as faster DDR4 memory, increased FPGA fabric, a video codec, and GTH transceivers that support HDMI Source, Sink, and 10G SFP+. It is particularly suited for high-definition video applications, making it ideal for multimedia, automotive ADAS, surveillance, and other embedded vision projects.

The board is equipped with a variety of multimedia and network interfaces, including Mini PCIe and microSD slots, as well as multi-camera and high-speed expansion connectors. These features make it versatile for a wide range of use cases, particularly those based on Linux applications that require access to Wi-Fi, cellular radio, SSD, USB SuperSpeed, and 4K video.
