The DFRobot Waterproof Ultrasonic Distance Sensor (27~800Cm, ULS) is a high-performance device equipped with an enclosed waterproof probe. Utilizing the principle of ultrasonic echo ranging, it determines the distance to a target by measuring the time lapse between the emission of a pulse and the reception of its echo, all without physical contact. This sensor is versatile and can detect a variety of materials, including transparent or non-ferrous objects, metals, non-metallic objects, liquids, solids, and powders. Its unique bell-mouth shell design significantly enhances the directivity and stability of the ultrasonic output.
