The DFRobot Gravity C4001 24GHz mmWave Human Presence Detection Sensor (12m, I2C/UART) operates at a 24GHz wavelength signal and is designed for a variety of applications including human presence detection, environmental monitoring, and real-time monitoring projects. This sensor features a horizontal detection range of 100°, is capable of detecting human presence within 8 meters, and can measure motion and range up to 12 meters. It is equipped with a Gravity interface and supports both I2C and UART communication methods, ensuring compatibility with a range of development boards such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32 / ESP8266.

Unlike infrared sensors, this millimeter-wave presence sensor can detect both static and moving objects, offering a significant advantage in terms of responsiveness and reliability. Its strong anti-interference capability allows it to perform consistently in various environmental conditions, unaffected by temperature fluctuations, ambient light changes, and environmental noise. The sensor is adept at detecting human presence, regardless of whether the individual is stationary or in motion.

Employing FMCW modulation, the sensor is capable of measuring distance and speed with a high degree of accuracy.
