The CoDrone EDU (JROTC Edition) was developed to align with the funding requirements of the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) programs. This edition retains the core functionalities of the CoDrone EDU, with specific components sourced from various manufacturers to meet these requirements. Designed with inclusiveness in mind, it enables JROTC students to engage in the learning community and participate in the Aerial Drone Competition.

The drone is equipped with advanced sensors including an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, front and bottom range sensors, color sensor, and optical flow sensor, allowing it to sense acceleration, rotation, height, pressure, obstacles, ground distance, and surface colors. The programmable controller with an LCD screen not only facilitates piloting but also allows users to code custom controls, display sensor data, and create unique applications.

The drone is built to be safe and durable, featuring flexible guards to minimize damage and a modular design for easy part replacement. It supports stable signal operation, enabling the use of up to 15 drones simultaneously in a classroom without interference.
