The ATOMIC PoE Base Ethernet Controller w/ W5500 Chip (ATOM Series) is a specialized Ethernet controller base designed to complement the ATOM series main controller. It incorporates an Ethernet (PoE) module that enables the device to draw power directly from a PoE hub or switch, thereby obviating the need for an independent power supply. This feature streamlines the installation process and can lead to a reduction in infrastructure expenses.
This base is integrated with the W5500 Ethernet controller, which comes with a built-in TCP/IP protocol stack. The controller is capable of providing eight independent hardware sockets, which facilitate concurrent communications with various devices or services. It also supports the Ethernet data link layer (MAC) and physical layer (PHY), with compatibility for 10/100M Ethernet to ensure dependable and swift network connections.
