The PX4 Vision Autonomous UAV Kit is specifically designed for universities and research institutions that wish to conduct research in the areas of SLAM, Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance. The kit is delivered with a pre configured USB stick containing a set of applications and examples. However, the development of the algorithms, as well as the installation and integration of ROS flight stacks, must be done by the user.
The PX4 Vision Kit is based on a UP Core Board, which is designed for Ubuntu 18.04 including ROS Melodic. The packages on the included USB stick install the ROS driver for the Occipital 3D camera, MAVROS and the Obstacle Avoidance Package.
