The Hokuyo UST-05LX Scanning Laser Rangefinder is a compact and lightweight device designed to accurately detect the size, position, and movement direction of objects. This advanced rangefinder utilizes a semiconductor laser with a wavelength of 905nm, classified as safety class 1, ensuring safe operation. It offers a detection range from 0.06 meters to 5 meters for highly reflective surfaces and up to 2 meters for surfaces with lower reflectance, with a maximum detection distance of 15 meters. The device boasts an accuracy of +/-40mm and a repeated accuracy of less than 30mm, making it highly reliable for precise measurements.
The rangefinder features a wide scan angle of 270 degrees and operates at a rapid scan speed of 25 milliseconds, facilitated by a motor speed of 2400 revolutions per minute. Its angular resolution of 0.25 degrees allows for detailed scanning and mapping of the environment. The device is equipped with an Ethernet 100BASE-TX interface for seamless connectivity and data transmission. It also includes a blue LED display to indicate power supply status.
Constructed with durability in mind, the rangefinder is housed in a polycarbonate front case and an aluminum rear case, providing robust protection. It is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, with an operational temperature range from -10°C to +50°C and storage capabilities from -30°C to +70°C. The device is resistant to vibrations and shocks, adhering to stringent EMC standards, and features an IP65 protective structure, ensuring it is dust-tight and protected against water jets.
